Vision for El Chapo, the Rancho Funk Vintage Funk Truck Our 1966 C10 was roachy and well loved when we found it sitting in a carport in Apache Shores,  Texas. It was wearing Mexico plates but titled as a Texas truck. That was the beginning of a mystery  that is still unfolding.  Our goal for El Chapo is to have a vehicle we can use for our business, which is vintage picking, and reselling. To that end, we want to have hand-lettered door art on both sides of the truck and with hand-lettered type on the bedsides like the truck above.   Fuckin' Craigs List! Why do I chase after these things? I don't need another project. Hmmmm, Mexico plates... It's probably seen some cool shit. Those wheels are hideous... It's a 6-cylinder, 4-speed truck? I could clean that thing up. Four cans of Gunk later... Might as well clean and inspect the plug wires... Even though the owner claims it's a runner I'll have it flat towed to Rancho Funk. It's pretty damn straight for being 56 years old... Maybe I'll put my other truck's drivetrain in it? Yeah, the maroon truck back there. Tommy towed it for $120.00. Better safe than sorry.   Dig the two-tone, but those wheels.
